Obstacles 

The digital marketing team faced these challenges while handling the digital marketing activities for AFFIN ISLAMIC:

  1. Hello Expectations

Managing expectations ain’t easy especially when we had no control over the content. The contents were prepared by the representatives from AFFIN ISLAMIC themselves. This means, we had to convince them through our diverse artworks and graphics.

 

The Game Plan

Our main goal was to strengthen AFFIN ISLAMIC’s brand awareness. Therefore, our content strategy was designed by focusing on the band and how we could ensure that the public is well-informed about its products and offerings. 

Our game plan: 

  1. Constant Consultation With Client 
    We had constant discussions with AFFIN ISLAMIC’s representatives to ensure that both CODIUM and the client are on the same page. As we must adhere all guidelines set by Bank Negara Malaysia, Shariah Committee and Securities Commission Malaysia, we made sure that our artworks and content were approved by the client before publishing. 

 

  1. All About Performance

Our KPI were calculated based on the number of AFFIN ISLAMIC’s social media followers. In addition, we had to craft a strategy that assists in strengthening AFFIN ISLAMIC’s brand image and reputation. 

 

  1. Content Diversification
    CODIUM designed various types of artworks including images, GIFs and videos for AFFIN ISLAMIC’s social media postings. Diversity in content type is important to constantly attract and maintain audience’s attention. 

 

  1. Frequent Meetings with Client

Both parties (CODIUM and AFFIN ISLAMIC) scheduled frequent meetings with one another regarding ongoing progress. The discussion was also important to ensure that CODIUM is aligned with all digital marketing strategies that have been set.

 

Our Accomplishment

  1. Targets achieved, 3 years in a row!

CODIUM managed to achieve all KPIs set by AFFIN ISLAMIC not just once, but three times in a row.
